Imprint

A trembling canvas, cloaked in infinity,
melting from night into nothing, like snow,
a poem reveals itself in the distance,
then hides behind the nearby hill, lying low.

A field of gazes stretches far and wide,
a universe within a heart of white,
it hums in the shimmer of a midnight kiss,
engraving the thought with night’s soft delight.

On her skin, the ink reflects the pain,
be it what is or what’s not,
a tempting thought, untouchable,
your hidden voice, holding me taut.

I stare at the world, at the imprint of words,
gazing at crossroads, an (un)known face,
dreams are woven, and the world awakes,
into a dazzling dusk, I’ll happily pace.
