Tallulah

In perfect dusk it softly rustles,
a cloud woven of dreams and hustles,
it glimmers, tirelessly above,
over all she longed for, but never could love.

She tied her shimmer
to a star that’s veiled,
a window’s whisper, memories’ trace…
no longer here, they’ve lost their space.

A source so pure, a heart of white,
commands of life, a guiding light,
a bath of glow, a feathery peace,
are illusions of your mind’s release.

The heartbeats fade, the days draw near,
her light, a butterfly’s farewell,
through her it wanes, both faint and clear,
the restless life that changed her shell.

The canvas slips from hands once tight,
a new path opens, bathed in light,
hope’s mystery dawns in the space unknown,
she rises again, reborn, and alone.
